Off Season Training and Sponsor Updates

We are working hard at bringing some off-season training packages and are excited to share with you what’s coming very soon!

Swim Clinics and Triathlon Coaching

Peter Russo with Russo Racing is going to offer NETF some great discounts on fantastic swim coaching services. Don’t get scared off when you see the word “racing” in his title – if you can swim (doesn’t have to be fast or even good), he’s your man. He’s offering two services – one-on-one clinic and a group clinic (6 NETF members) at a discount – we are still ironing out the details.
Come meet Peter at an informal “Meet and Greet” where Peter will field your questions, show you some example video assessments, and there might even be an extending discount for anyone who signs up for a service on that day! Date, time, and location TBD but November is the month. Check out Peter Russo at http://www.r2tri.comDid you know he is also a triathlon coach too!

Strength Training Group Sessions

Strength training is the often forgot about fourth sport in triathlons. While most triathletes try to squeeze in another run, swim, or bike, elite athletes bring in regular strength training as the fourth sport. Strength training builds muscular strength which relates to power output, thus increasing speed in every discipline. While performance benefits are perhaps the most tangible, strength training can keep you from getting injured. Injuries are often caused by muscle imbalances and chronic weaknesses in certain areas.

The Movement Academy (personal trainers) in Attleboro is partnering with Houghton Physical Therapy to offer NETF a strength program formatted with triathletes in mind. This is an incredible opportunity to train smart, safely, and effectively – you have Houghton PT backing the program formatting.
